‘TYSON FURY’…that is the name on the lips of boxing fans the world over…
Why you ask…Well it is because the Manchester
native defeated world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko who was yet to
lose a bout in nine years.
Klitschko and Tyson Fury fought
on Sunday, November 30 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Klitschko had not been beaten
since 2004 and his second reign as champion included 19 successful defences.
Fury won the fight 115-112, 115-112, 116-111 based on scores on the judges’
scorecards and is now the WBA, IBF and WBO champion.
The 27 year old said after the
fight: “You’re a great champion Wlad, thanks very much for having me. It was
all fun and games in the build-up, I just wanted to be confident, young and
brash.”
