There are so many women of color who are embodying the spirit of fashion, creativity and entrepreneurship. In honor of Black History Month I wanted to highlight some modern day fashion phenoms. Fashion is more than just about looking good and staying in touch with the newest trends, it is about culture, entrepreneurship and creativity.Here are just a few of my favorites:

Season In Review: Washington Mystics

As a part of a WNBA.com offseason series, we’ll be taking a look at the seasons of all 12 teams in the league and touching on some of the top reasons to look forward to their 2016 WNBA campaigns. Youth and size is traditionally a successful combo for any basketball team, no matter what level. With building blocks like All-Stars Emma Meesseman and Stefanie Dolson in place, the Washington Mystics got a glimpse of what can be a bright future for the franchise in 2015. Meesseman, 22, and Dolson, 23, each enjoyed their best seasons in the WNBA yet. Both averaged over 10 points per game and finished with at least a block per content, and they combined for nearly 12 rebounds a night. The 6-foot-5 Meesseman also was second in the league in field-goal percentage at 55.6 percent, while the 6-foot-4 Dolson added to her game by shooting 10-21 from 3-point range on the season, after having not made any her rookie season. Why Jonathan Handed Power To Buhari - Ex-Minsters

Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman, the immediate past minister of National Planning on Sunday, November 29, disclosed why former president Goodluck Jonathan decided to hand over power to President Muhammadu Buhari. Sulaiman said Jonathan took the decision in order to save the lives of many Nigerians. The former minister explained further that Jonathan had enough evidence to remove former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru  Jega but decided not to take such action. Sulaiman made this disclosure when he delivered a paper on 2015 power transition in Nigeria at the annual Zink dinner lecture/award in Abuja. He noted that contrary to what most people think, there were cases of compromise by INEC, Vanguard reports.
